Important Notice: Due to exceptionally high fuel prices, a
7%
fuel surcharge will be added to the above prices at this time. This
surcharge is subject to change as fuel prices change.
TIME:
We normally leave the dock between 5:30 -6:00 am and return at approximately 4:30 PM. It takes generally 2 hours to
reach the fishing grounds. We will fish until 2:30-3:00, depending on the weather and the distance beck to the dock The
1/2 day trips leave at 6:00 AM, and 12:00, and fish for approximately 5 hours near shore.
GENERAL: The
DANCIN OUTLAW is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard to carry 6 passengers. We
feel it is important for the crew to participate as much as possible in the days fishing. This will not only increase
the days catch, but will make the day m
ore enjoyable for you. We do, however, stress safety and ask you to listen to the mate and captain.
All of the fish caught belongs to the customer. Fish cleaning will be provided at the dock for a fee of approximately 38
cents a pound. We also provide a taxidermy service. Please ask the captain for information.
More than 6 people for corporate
outings - call us. We can arrange for more boats to accommodate as many people as you need. We can also
arrange corporate pricing and package deals to cover all of the cost with one bill.
WHAT TO BRING:
While the cabin of the boat is heated and air-conditioned for your comfort, it is necessary to bring the
appropriate clothing for the season. Don't hesitate to call the captain a day or two in advance to get an idea of the
weather. While we do not provide food and drink for your trip without prior arrangement, we do have cooler space and ice
for your supplies.
LOCATION: We are located at
Big Rock Landing on the waterfront in Morehead City, North Carolina. This is very convenient to any place on Atlantic
Beach, Emerald Isle, or the Morehead City area. The captain can also help with accommodations and recommendations on
places to stay.
MATE:
Cris Johnson, a graduate of UNC Wilmington, has been fishing
all of life. Cris started fishing with his great uncle, waterfront legend, Frank (Franko ) Johnson on the boat Mako.
